V8 (LS3) wiring to EMU BLACK

I think I’m doing this right, but would just like some confirmation:

I’m hooking up a V8 engine (LS3) to the EMU BLACK, and I have only found this 4-cylinder wiring example which I’m following: https://www.ecumaster.com/files/EMU_BLACK/Wiring_Diagram_Example_4_cylinders_EMU_BLACK.pdf

For injectors I’m able to wire all separately using the AUX1 and AUX2 outputs.
But for coils I’m obviously not able to, as it only have 6 outputs.

So, looking at the firing order of the engine, which is 1-8-7-2-6-5-4-3, I paired the wires for the coils up as 1+6, 8+5, 7+4 and 2+3.
My thought was then to connect it like this:
Coil 1+6 to G8 (Ignition coil #1 output)
Coil 8+5 to G16 (Ignition coil #2 output)
Coil 7+4 to G9 (Ignition coil #3 output)
Coil 2+3 to B14 (Ignition coil #4 output)

Would that be the right approach?

Also - I noticed DBW uses an unexpected amount of Analog inputs, so I am no longer able to use all the sensors pressure/temperature I have on my car. I assume there is no away around this except for adding manual gauges outside of the ECU for the least important measures?

Your approach sounds fine, just make sure the ignition coils are active and NOT passive, I’m not familiar with LS stuff myself but google appears to think they are active.

DBW will use up 3 of your 6 general purpose analog inputs so like you suggested put the most important sensors on the remaining 3 and look at some sort of CAN bus module for future inputs, there’s plenty to chose from these days.

if needing more inputs and outputs then consider adding a Can switchboard V3 for 8 additional sensor inputs and other extras. easiest way to expand installation and is small that it doesnt take up space.

Thanks will look into the CAN bus modules if I need more in/outputs in the future
