Ve tables with dual lambdas

I just wonder if its possible to have 2 tables to controll the lm7 with 2 diffrent banks? or how is this done with 2 lambdasonds? trying to make sense of the new emu pro before getting my car ready to start

Hi,

You have several options for setting it up.

For VE, you can use one table, two separate tables (one for each bank), or one main table plus a bank 2 correction table. You also have to assign cylinders to banks. For LM7, you would assign odd cylinders to bank 1 and even cylinders to bank 2.

Lambda sensors are assigned separately to specific cylinders, not banks. Lambda 1 is for cylinder 1 and bank 1, so it’s assigned to odd cylinders, and lambda 2 is assigned to even cylinders.

yeah i have seen it but havent found how to get the separate tables, its setup with bank 1 - 1,3,5,7 (lambda1) and bank 2- 2,4,6,8 (lambda2) with injectors and lambdas

would it be recommended to use something else then map/standard pressure to map a N/A v8? using dbw and have a Vag 3bar mapsensor, but since it wont build boost pressure do i need to map with TPS?

MAP is recommended in most setups.
TPS is recommended if you don’t have a common plenum after the throttle, such as with ITBs.

So its only a correction based for the lambda2? or have i done it wrong :upside_down_face:

this is my base map i have tried put together

e91 lm7 startmap.emupro (31.3 KB)

It has nothing to do with lambda corrections.
Closed-loop fueling corrects each cylinder, regardless of how the banks are set up.

Two VE tables let you calibrate differences between banks.
So if one lambda is making 0 correction and the second lambda is +5%, you can adjust the second bank VE so the lambda is on target without extra closed-loop corrections.

If you use ā€œBank 2 baseā€ mode, the second table is a base table with the second bank’s VE value. It’s an absolute and separate VE value, not a correction.

So in this mode, you should start with both VE tables identical. You can save your Bank 1 VE table to a file and load it as the Bank 2 table.

But if you are tuning from scratch, you should start with a single VE table. And after most of your VE table is done, you can enable the second table and do fine-tuning to make the banks even.

okey thanks alot  then i know and can get this done when the car gets on the dyno

isnt used to how to make the tables, but now i know how to make it a 3d table like base 1:D

You might want to check the EMU PRO software guide.
It’s available on the product webpage and explains how to use the client software.

You can also right-click inside the table, save it to a file, and load it into another table. This lets you copy a VE table from bank 1 to bank 2. Including axis configuration.
