I have EMU Pro-8 with Volvo EHPS on CAN2, I’ve copied the ADU CAN control over to the Pro and as far as I can see the Pro-8 seems happy, no CAN error messages but also, no pump control.
I know when this was asked in one of the other forums the ECU Master engineers cam up with the ADU CAN, I wa wondering if they would be prepared to do the same for the EMU Pro ECU’s?
Failing that, a bit of a ‘idiots guide’ for the less (CAN) skilled of us, of which I am clearly one lol…
I’d also like t know if I can receive pump data back (via CAN obviously) as I know the pump has internal temp sensor and I think pressure sensor too (maybe?).
are you able to log the can2 data with a pcan? that way will confirm if the bus is alive. if you use the adu, would the pump start and running? did you change anything with the terminator reistor?
No ADU on this vehicle, just Pro-8 but yes, pump is switching on and working but at what I’m guessing is it’s ‘70%’ level when it doesn’t have CAN input.
I don’t have PCAN but today I will switch the ECU Master CAN over to CAN2 and see if I can use that to sniff the traffic.
The CAN2 I setup for the pump has 120ohm at each end as per CAN recommendations.
