12v output for AirCon clutch

I’m trying to get the EMU Pro 8 to drive an AirCon compressor, which needs 12v to engage the clutch. I know how to do it via relay (and I recognize that that’s the superior solution), but it’s rework I’d rather avoid at this point. I’ve been trying half-bridge 3A, but the ECU won’t drive it to 12v. If I invert the output, then I get exactly the opposite of what I want: at power on the AirCon clutch sees 12v and runs without the driver requesting it.

Is there any way of having the EMU Pro drive a 12v output without using a relay?

thanks!

My current config (car isn’t running, but when it does, all parameters are met)

I’ve tried half-bridge 3A and 3B without success.

Here’s the actual error code:

RPM is 650 or so. AC pressure is 1050 kPa. TPS is 4.9%. Coolant temp is 60 or so. What am I missing?

I just tested this on the bench, and it looks like we introduced a bug related to the recovery delay at some point.

If you set the recovery delay to 0 seconds, it will work as intended.

Sweet! Yes, that works fine.

Any idea of when a fix might be available? I’m on the latest beta now.

Unfortunately, we are almost ready to release today, so it has to stay that way for now.

We will fix it in the next version in a couple of weeks.

P.S.
Today’s release will have updated LT base maps with the torque tables.

Thanks very much for the LT torque tables. I’ll have a look as soon as they arrive. A couple of weeks for the recovery delay is fine. It’s way better than what some companies do. Many thanks!

It’s ready.
