7M-GTE trigger fault - ECUMASTER BLACK V3

Hello,

I’m working on a 7M-GTE and I’m having a problem with a problem with cam sync trigger tooth changing randomly.
Previously I had the car tuned without any problem and it appears now with V3.
I already changed pullups/pulldowns and filters with some success because it was happening with load in the engine and higher RPM but I can’t get any better and now it happens idling. At WOT pulls it stopped happening.

Any suggetion?

Best regards,

What does the scope log like at idle?

What triggering setup are you using? the factory distributor with cherry Hall sensors modified to fit?

I’m.using digital CPS

Car was good before with same trigger.

Scope looks ok. Later I can attach it.

Tried to change the first trigger tooth and will see if gets better.

Best regards

Hello,

Problem keeps to happens. I changed some stuff in trigger and tought it was ok but it isn’t.
Can cuts at 6k RPM and then i tried to mess with trigger input filters and pullups and it’s not getting any better.
I don’t remeber to have this problem with V2.
Attached some photos of trigger

You can see cam sync thooth changing even worse than before. Without pullup and hihg filters the problem only appears at 6k RPM.

Best regards and hope anyone can help.

Can you take a scope log and post that with the log and calibration?

I’d recommend setting the edge to falling

Scope looks ok but I can’t post right now because I don’t have the laptop here right now. Before I had problem with idle (mainly at colt temperatures) and it solved by changing secondary trigger edge to rising and messing with trigger tooth.

Now I’m having this problem. I need to check in older logs but I think I didn’t had this problem in V2.

Also I have other car with same trigger kit and black V2 without any issue.

I can try again to change rising edge to falling.

Best regards

The problem keeps and I don’t know what to try more.

please post the files, not a screen shot.

There’s something going on in that scope log.
How many teeth are on the CPS kit? 24 right?
Drift motion say their kit has build in pull ups, so shouldn’t need to enable any just as stated in the screenshot

What is the current air gap of each sensor set to? as a general rule of thumb falling edge is always more stable then rising, rising can false trigger much easier especially if there’s noise. I’d check the connector is making good contact at each terminal and time it around falling edge. The wiring should be shielded between sensor and ecu, shield grounded on one side only.
