Audi 80 with V8 60-2 trigger problems

Hey guys, we are having some weird problem with our triggers on our Audi

Current setup is 60-2 crank wheel with N+1+60% cam wheel (or VW 1.8T)

Tried with different settings for trigger (Rising, Falling etc) also tried changing the polarity of the cable it self but non of it worked. Also tried noise and adaptive threshold to low / high etc.

Attaching files to see the scope how on the second turn it fires several cylinders at once.

Maybe we are missing something or wrong triggering?

Any help is really appricated.

Thank you, Erik!

I think the secondary trigger is wrong on scope you can see n=i snot N+1 try otehr edge on secondary

The CAM pattern looks like multitooth. Do you have a picture of the CAM trigger wheel ?

Yes, it is multitooth like the 1.8T, we have with single tooth too but it does the same thing.
Attaching images of the multitooth trigger

Erik!

Please make a scope using Falling edge for the cam.

Here is with falling and both triggers (N-1+60% and VW 1.8T)

scope_202591_1851 - falling n-1+60%.emubscp3 (633 Bytes)

scope_202591_1851 - falling vw1.8t.emubscp3 (634 Bytes)

on falling edge an N-1 60% trigger system synchronises and all looks good.

The blue circle on the CAM signal shows the synchronisation tooth.

Will try today and give a sign. I am mostly worried about this why it fires several cylinders on the empty space

It is issue with cylinder detection in scope in Windows application. It detects cylinders based on scope data and sometimes it looks like that.

You can ignore it

Giving update on the thread, started with Jadzwin recommended settings!

Cheers!
