Is this something that is on the development horizon? I’d love to be able to check things without having the laptop in the car. I have a 65 year old car with very little dashboard, a phone or tablet app would be so handy, even if used for display only. Tuning would be super, but display only would be way better than my current speedo only dashboard.
You can use EMU PRO with the existing BT module and applications.
You need BT module for CAN bus, enable BT stream in EMU, and connect with a compatible app.
We are also working on a new app and module. The preliminary version of the app will be shown at the automotive expos over the fall and winter.
Okay, great to hear! Can you share any details about the CAN to BT module? What will be different than what is currently offered? Will it run at 1Mbps to be more compatible with the CAN 1 on the Pro?
Thanks!
The main difference will be a modern BT chip.
The module will also be configurable through the Light Client, allowing for changes to the CAN bus speed and firmware upgrades.
With the new module … will it be possible to extend the CANtoBT data broadcast?
If I understand it right, then at the moment only this limited channel list is broadcasted:
So for example only 4 out of the 16 to 20 analog inputs of the EMU-Pro.
Also no brake pressure, coolant pressure, no front/wheel speeds and so on.
And is there any update on the release date?
