I’m struggling to get the VVT dialed in on this BMW S54, previous V2 settings work well and follow target within a degree or 2 but trying to convert this over to V3 i’m getting some pretty big cam timing swings.
Can you advise what the V3 settings would be for this, mainly around the PID function?
set all pid coefficients to 0
Set integral term limin min / max to 5
then adjust kP to get the best possible result (no overshooting).
Then if you are out of the target try to adjust kI.
For most systems kP is enough.

hi, can i ask if you use cam 1 as inlet?
Cam 1 is exhaust, cam 2 inlet if my memory serves me correct.
