Device Naming Issue

Is there a way to change the device/project name? I have 2 vehicles that I’m planning to run an EMU Pro 8 in. While bench testing the device, my initial connection to it required me to create a new project, and I named it for the vehicle I thought it would end up it. Life happened, and priorities changed and this ecu ended up in the other car. I’d like to change the name to match, and I did, but it only seems to have an effect in some spots. Everything still saves to the old project file, not the new one that matches the name. Is there a way to factory reset the ECU, allowing me to build a fresh project folder for it?

The solution is to edit the devices.xml from your Documents\EMU_PRO folder.

Edit it (e.g., with Notepad) and remove the serial number you want to change.
The next time you run the EMU PRO client and connect to the ECU, you’ll be prompted to select the project folder again.
