Dq250 emu black

Hello everyone,

I have a VW Passat B6 3.2 VR6 (AXZ engine code) and I’m planning to do a supercharger build.

For engine management, I want to use an ECUMaster EMU Black.

My main concern is communication between the EMU Black and the DSG gearbox.

I’m trying to understand what the correct approach is:

  • Should I completely remove the original OEM ECU and run the car only on EMU Black?

  • Or is it better to keep the OEM ECU installed (for CAN/DSG communication) and run EMU Black in parallel to control the engine?

Unfortunately, in my area there is no experienced tuner or workshop that has done EMU Black + DSG setups, so I’m trying to figure this out on my own. I’m still a beginner in this specific topic and would really appreciate advice from people who have actually done this in real cars.

Any guidance, real-world experience, or best practices would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much in advance.

Hey,

Just install EMU Black an do the Setup for DSG in the Software. It works great!
