Ecu shutdown on crank with V3

Interesting experience this morning on the dyno… the aim was to transition one of the team cars from V2 to V3 software but we came across something weird and couldn’t get past it - hoping someone knows why.

V2 - easy start, fully tuned. Crank, ecu stays powered throughout.

Upgrade firmare to V3…

V3 - ecu power dies during crank. Green icon in the bottom right goes red (Disconnected) and obviously no fire. all settings that can be swapped have been (like triggers etc), other base map settings from a known good map filled in.

Downgrade firmware to V2… ecu stays powered during crank!

Anyone know what’s different in the firmware that might be causing this?

looks like in v2 you turn something on that prevent engine from reset.
You can upgrade to v3 use defaumt settings and the try to crank.
If the ecu resets then you need to find in c2 configuration waht is turning on.

Whats battery voltage during cranking?

Easy @Jadzwin_ECUMASTER - I’ll try this and see how I go.

Battery voltage was in the high 11v range during crank. we had it hooked up to another car to eliminate a dead battery.

Had a chance to retry this again today with a completely fresh install of V3. No change, still resets on crank!

Anyone have some idea on what else we can try to get this thing on V3?

And just to confirm, that’s with no settings loaded into the configuration

then in v2 you probably enable something to allow cranking

do you have a log from cranking ?

Have left the car for the week. Take a log and send over the weekend
