Hello so Im doing a fun turbo build on my old ford with stuff I have laying around and I got to point where I tackle around with det 3 ecu I have connected every sensor and made some general settings and tried to see if I would see rpm , I didnt connect my injectors yet but I just wanted to try and I did see everything rpms temps etc. Today I wanted to connect my injectors and try to start but nothing happened det 3 just doesn’t see any rpms while cranking and because of that it doesn’t trigger my injectors I tried changing some settings in ignition tab but nothing has worked so far.
Tell us more about your crank sensor type and how it’s wired. Please describe it better than ‘per the user manual’.
Have you updated to latest firmware? (I saw that this resets all settings too!)
Does the scope show anything happening?
I have vr sensor it has 2 wires going straight to ecu. Today I tried disconnecting positive wire from vr sensor and just left it connected to det 3 and now it instantly had rpm while cranking I connected the injectors and it started right up on my base map. The issue now is that I have no control of my ignition timing because when I connect bipolar ign out to my ecu it suddenly doesn’t start at all it seems like stock ecu cuts spark so I have to leave it disconnected.
