I have an ECUMASTER EDL-1 connected to an EMU Black.
The main problem is that the EDL never starts logging.
Current setup:
- EMU Black FW 2.175
- EMU Black Client 2.175
- EDL-1 FW 1.27
What works:
- EDL powers up normally.
- Green LED stays solid.
- Bluetooth works and connects.
- EMU Black detects the device as “ECUMASTER logger EDL-1”.
- “Set Datalogger Time” works successfully.
- ECU is synchronised and running normally.
- EDL creates the EDL-INFO file on the SD card.
What does NOT work:
- The EDL never starts logging.
- Green LED never starts flashing.
- No log files are created on the SD card.
- SD card only contains EDL-INFO.
- eDash shows no live data.
Checks already performed:
- Dedicated 12V supply to EDL.
- Ground verified.
- RS232 wiring verified multiple times.
- EDL RX/TX connected to EMU Black pins 11 (TXD) and 24 (RXD).
- SD card formatted FAT32.
- ECU firmware updated from 2.169 to 2.175.
- Different Bluetooth devices tested.
Additional information:
- Using a SanDisk 32GB SD card formatted to FAT32.
- The card is not completely rejected by the logger because EDL-INFO is created successfully every time.
- However, no log files are ever generated.
Has anyone seen an EDL-1 that is detected correctly by EMU Black but never enters logging mode and never creates any log files?
