Edash app says it support the older Bluetooth module but I’m not able to see any real time info.
I see the device and I can connect to it.
There is no information regarding the configuration of the serial stream. I tried “ECUMaster Serial protocol” and it works with RealDash but not with the EDash app.
Am I doing something wrong or it’s not supported and only the can to bluetooth or edl1 is supported?
what android version are you using. there was a post saysing only from Android 11 up will be compatible.
I’m using EMU Black on v3.
It seems that the configuration of the serial port is incorrect for the eDash app but I cloudnt find any settings that works.
I’m not sure the serial Bluetooth module is compatible with the Edash app…

It depends on the type of Bluetooth module you are using.
There are two types:
Older modules that use Bluetooth Classic (SPP)
Newer modules that use BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy)
The newer BLE modules are already supported and work with the app.
We are currently working on adding support for the older Classic Bluetooth (SPP) modules.
One thing I’d like to confirm — were you actually able to connect to the BT module from within the app?
The connection should be made by tapping the Bluetooth icon (top right corner) and selecting your device. Once connected, a green indicator should appear on the BT icon.

My question is, what configuration do I need in the EMU Black?
Do I need to set “ECUMaster Serial protocol” for any modules? or do I need another protocole like the EDL1?
When will it be released ? Support for spp ?

I realize I missed an important detail earlier. While the Bluetooth module itself is supported with eDash, it is not supported in this configuration with EMU Black.
The Bluetooth module was originally designed to work with the ECUMaster EMU ECU and works natively with its successor, the EMU Classic.
While using it with EMU Black is theoretically possible, it is quite complex to configure and we do not recommend this setup.
For EMU Black, you will need either:
BT CAN module, or
ECUMaster EDL-1 (recommended)
I recommend the EDL-1 because it offers bidirectional communication and provides access to the largest number of available data channels (with EMU Black V3).

We already have a first working prototype of the SPP support, and we’re currently refining it and running tests.
I’d rather not commit to a specific release date yet, as testing can still uncover unexpected issues, but we’re working hard to get it ready as soon as possible.
