we had flex fuel sensor since it was build (1 year ago) but flex fuel percentage never went above something like 72%. Currently there is E85 ethanol sold at PL DMEC events in the car and it shows 67.6%
Flex fuel sensor is oem one for BMW by Continental. Its wired to digital input, setup as Hall with 1k ohm pull-up.

Can you check the signal with an external oscilloscope and measure the frequency?
Alternatively, you can assign it as a wheel speed sensor, allowing you to view the frequency measured by the EMU.
We can check if the frequency and ethanol content are correct according to the datasheet.
If EMU is measuring the frequency correctly, I would assume a faulty sensor.
