Golf mk2 with det 3+ (newbie)

Hi all, its been ages since i last made a post on a forum so please be patient.

searching arround here did get me some answers but being on an entry level i feel i should go ahead and make a new post and try to be as specific as possible.

for starters, my project car is an '87 golf mk2 syncro.

engine is a KR 1.8 16v (used to be k-jet fueld)

at the moment the car runs on ce2, digi II (efi) with an abf (2.0) intake and a 76mm throttle body with TPS, ABF injectors and fuel rail (single trigger for all four injectors)

spark is driven by distributor and advance is set by CTS.

car has an iat inside the maf to calculate AFR but i am getting a standalone IAT to get rid of it.

please note these cars have NO crank sensor which might be a sitback.

so, i just got my Det3+ and started reading manuals etc and i would feel more safe if i was to share my effort so more experienced people can show me arround!

of course first question is how do i choose wether i go for FIT or not and how i can bypass the “problem” (if it is actually) of not having a crank sensor.

second question is how i make my fueling maps, is there some rough data i can enter for starters and start from there or is there some other way?

i’m sure i’ll have a ton of questions later on but i hope ill get some feedback from the community!

thnx
