H- Bridge Control

I would like to use the 2nd h-bridge outputs to control a linear actuator.

Is the ‘off’ state connected to ground, and when ‘on’, switches to 12v? If inverted is selected, ‘off’ is connected to 12v?

How are these outputs current limited? Is this done electronically or is there internal fuses? The unit i have states 5amp max.

Thanks!

The more I think about it, it can only work this way. I will set one output side of the bridge as “UP” and the other “down”. Normally each output is grounded. When either is ‘active’ it will go to 12v and motor the actuator, in the corresponding direction.

Can anyone answer how these outputs are current protected?
