Descritpiton:
When the engine decelerates, it does not transition to the active idle state; instead, it remains in the idle armed state.
How to reproduce:
To reproduce the issue, you should bring the engine to idle and close the throttle. Decreasing RPM does not transition the idle controller to the active state. The problem occurs consistently each time.
An issue i am facing at the moment. I took the time and built a base map manually transfering most of my settings from the V2 project file into the V3, and by saving tables from the V2 software and loading them in the V3 where it was possible. I saved the project several times in the procedure as it took me a lot of time, and then when i connected to the ecu, flashed to V3 firmware and loaded the project file, most off the settings were not saved, default values loaded. This happened in the most part off the map.
I tried to start my S2000 today but it won’t start. I think something is wrong with the triggers, i can feel it is firing at the wrong time and it isn’t firing all cylinders i think. When i selected wasted spark, it started, but very rough and back firing periodically, at regular intervals. When i tried to check with the timing light with ignition lock, there is no spark at cylinder 1 during cranking. I know the timing light works because when i used the test output function for output 1 it flashed normally. myV3basemap.emub3 (52.3 KB) v3log.emublog3 (79.3 KB)
Edit : I corrected a mistake in the ASE enrichment, and it does start, but it is on 2 cylinders.
ECU Power off cycle changes cyl count from 8 to 2. I tested this many times, re flashed V3 3.016 to V2 and back to V3 with map that has 8-syl conf. Odd-fire engine, only 2 ing. outputs in use. No difference if I try to set all 8 outputs in use. Does same if USB is connected or not. VROD_V3_livetesti_3.emub3 (52.9 KB) 20240120_1833_05.emublog3 (1.9 MB)
Ignition is always at 5 degrees when ECU state is “IDLE”. When it goes off from idle it follows IGN table. Log shows no active corrections, idle strategy not in use.
The ignition at idle strategy active will be the average off min and max torque ignition values you enter in the pid settings, so if you entered max torque 10 and min torque 0, for example, and set 0 values for the pid so it’s inactive, the idle ignition will be constant 5.
As Nick wrote there is always ignition idle control. In next build there will be table with the ignition during idle and its max / min limit.
I can confirm the bug with 8 cylinders. I’ve already fix it. The software 3.017 will be tested on Monday and if everything will be ok, I will publish it Monday afternoon
This “feature” is at V2 too, but I thought that I can post it here:
When vertically shrinking log window and scrolling up/down, upper part of log is flickering with random part of software window.
Could this be rendering issue on just my PC or does someone else noticed this:
Wow. I’ve already reproduce it. I have never seen that I think this bug has 10 years at least
I will fix it.
Please let me know if the calibration solve your WBO issue, as well if the autotune works for you ?
Are you sure you have configured PPS and TPS properly?
I assume that in V2 you have connected pedal to TPS and throttle plate pos sensor to analog.
In V3 TPS is always throttle position sensor, so the TPS main signal should be set to Analog in 4 and PPS signal input should be set to TPS.
