Hello,
I’ve had this problem twice already. Here’s what’s happening. My BMW M50B28 turbo engine with EMU Black runs perfectly fine. Unfortunately, a strange problem has recently cropped up.
Suddenly, it only runs on 5 cylinders instead of 6.
It’s always cylinder 3. Last time, an “output stage” signal cylinder 3 in the control unit itself failed. My tuner opened the control unit and soldered in a new “output stage.”
Lo and behold, it’s running on all 6 cylinders again…
But now, about 3 hours later, the exact same problem has returned. Cylinder 3 no spark, “output stage” signal cylinder 3 defective again.
Do you have any idea what the problem could be?
Thanks for your help.
Best regards,
Luk
