Since injector flow is a single data point, how is flow v pressure accounted for? My understanding is that flow v pressure isn’t linear or a common trait across various injectors. Would a 2D setting, allowing more injector information input, make more sense?
The injector flow for other differential pressures than the reference is calculated automatically.
The real-time calculated flow value is visible in the channel “Fuel / Rail / Injectors / Reference flow corrected”.
You are correct that the relationship is not linear. But it is fluid flow through an orifice, which has a very basic relationship between differential pressure and flow rate.
Direct injector max flow is characterized with a single point by OEM, and they work with pressures between 30 and 350 bar.
