With the recent releases having MQB DSG support for the Seat Leon Cupra III, is there any near term target to incorporate MQB DQ500 control from newer RS3/TTRS? If utilizing the MQB DSG CAN control, would it simply be a matter of having the immobilizer disabled in the flash?
I have an MQB DQ500 for a motor swap and need to make a determination whether I need to swap the mechatronics to the pre-MQB Continental part, or wait it out for MQB support.

We haven’t had opportunity to check such a configuration yet. Perhaps it would work in the same way as DQ250 in Seat Leon Cupra III.
Can you provide a trace with the CAN communication logged? Just run Light Client software with CAN interface connected to the car’s CAN bus, ride a car for 10 minutes and save it by “Save trace” button. We would be able to compare the frames to the ones from Seat.

I havent gotten that far yet, but once I have it wired and powered up I can do that.
As far as you know, defeating the immo should allow this to work in a swapped vehicle, or are there other variables. This is the first DSG Ive messed with so I dont know what I dont know.
Of course I mean an OEM CAN communication. We need to look at frames from ECU and DSG.
In Seat we changed the OEM ECU to EMU PRO and everything seems to work without any immo handling. Not sure about swap.

I get where you were going. I first read that as just try running it with the Cupra III settings and log the CAN.
I may be able to get a CAN log of a US Spec RS3/TTRS to share. Will report back once I do.
