We are extremely proud to announce the beta release of EMU PRO software version 212.0, now with GDI support.
This version represents months of dedicated work by the entire Ecumaster Team and introduces several new features that are also beneficial for ported engine users:
New features:
Direct injection support (with GDI Driver)
SENT over CAN protocol support (with GDI Driver)
Audi Valve Lift support added
Ignition Latency added
LIN alternator control – support for Suzuki Jimny IV
MAF sensor over frequency input
New OEM CAN streams:
VW MQB Vehicle and DSG CAN (tested on Seat Leon Cupra III)
Suzuki Jimny IV
Polaris RZR PRO R
GDI support is compatible with all EMU PRO units; however, an external GDI Driver is required to control the injectors. The Ecumaster GDI Driver will be available for purchase starting January 17th.
Tuning a GDI engine is a complex process that requires advanced tools and significant effort. To assist you, we’ve prepared detailed documentation, including a “How-to” guide, GDI Driver pinout, and a comprehensive manual covering wiring, installation, Light Client settings, and SENT communication:
I believe there’s some CAN communication change that brakes the DSG support.
Not getting any data from my dq500 after the update (not returning any flags selector etc). Gearbox safety condition and all that jazz.
Downgrading works.
Can’t find any new obvious settings I need to tackle.
Hi, notieced, when i open older datalog in 212 software it showing incorrectly pre-throttle pressure and exhaust manifold pressure. When i load original project made or resaved in 116.2 or older and open log then, it shows correctly. Can you confirm that logs made in 212 shows it correctly (if so, then this version conflict isnt much an issue)?
Two questions.
Can u plz add an option to change the axis of a table, without the need to do a new defition of the values of the axis?
E.g.: I have the some tables with efficiency load as x-Axis. I want to change it to Ignition load, but keep all the values the same. This seems sadly not to be possible if the axis values are not linear.
Second thing.
I basically want the load for fueling to be MAP based and for other stuff MAF based. But also want to be able to switch between both during calibration, to be able to choose the better one depending on the topic. I for now did my calibration MAF based. Sadly the efficiency load definition MAP and MAF based isn’t compatible according documentation cause MAP based isn’t considering VE and therefore not the real airmass for the percentage load.
E.g.:1bar MAP with a VE of 80% is around 80% cyclinderfilling = 80% MAF based efficiency load, but 100% MAP based efficiency load. So switching between them is not possible without adjusting any table.
I workarounded it by calculating a MAP based airmassflow like that:
This in general is working. AudiS5_CAUA_rev109.emupro (35.8 KB)
But for defining one as ignition load and the other as efficiency load it doenst work, cause both methods are MAF based for the SW.
So my question is…could u add a MAP based fueling model, which considers VE (and IAT) for load calculation to get the real perctentage cylinderfilling roughly like i did (i think there are more elegant ways)?
I think in general this makes the SW more elegant.
Sure. We already have such an option in ADU/PMU. It is waiting to be added to EMU PRO. It will be implemented soon.
@mkuklis_ECUMASTER handles the fuel model in EMU PRO and will answer your question. He is currently on holiday and will be available from January 13th."
For GDI engine you need EMU PRO and GDI Driver available for purchase starting January 8th. There is no adapter for this engine at this time, so you need to make your own harness.
Right now we are working on fine-tuning this engine (code CJXH) in Seat Leon Cupra III with DQ250. We plan to share the project and harness guides very soon.
We haven’t tested DQ381 yet. I suppose there may be some differences in CAN stream.
