Rich idle and lean acceleration does anyone do Remote tuning?

  • Hey guys, I’m sure this has been covered quite a bit, but I haven’t had any luck getting it right on my own. I’m running a JZS161, also known as the 2JZ-GTE VVTi, and im having trouble getting it running properly. I have all my specs and can send a data file. Symptoms: constantly rich at idle, I’ve tried slowly adjusting my warm-up enrichment and adjusting ve tables, making things slightly better, but if any throttle is given, it goes lean and dies

Are you using the startup map from the website?

Yeah, I’ve even restarted with their same 2jz base map at one point.

The car really needs to be tuned. Also you need to enter in all your injector data as well.

If it is rich on a cold startup, this is going to be normal up to an extent. Warmup enrich is definitely needed but if you are seeing overly rich (AFRS buried in 10s) conditions then you are along the right path of pulling out the fueling. VE table first needs to be tuned AFTER the injector data is right, IAT sensor data is right, CLT sensor data is right, MAP sensor is hooked up and calibrated, TPS sensor voltages (min and max) are set right.
