Second DC motor strategy

I’m using an electronic thermostat - a real flap with a return spring (normally open) with a position sensor.
Right now it’s open loop low side PWM with 3 coolant sensors (post-radiator, pre-engine and post-engine) and although it’s quite fine at hunting the target, I know it could perform even better with PID. Using exactly that in my other non-ecumaster swapped car.
I would use custom DC motor strategy but I’m already controlling the honda j35 intake manifold flap (IMT) as a full bridge DC motor (with no issues and with an apparent benefit to VE).

So the question is could we have a second custom DC strategy?
Also sensor naming situation is a bit inflexible at the moment so I have to use thermostat position as a custom Stepper position and 2 additional coolant sensors as Head and intercooler temperatures which gets a bit confusing. Maybe we could get some custom sensors?

Hi,

It’s not really a “if” question, but a “when” question.
And the answer, unfortunately, is not soon.

We are preparing for all the automotive events during the fall and winter. We have a few new things to show, and we have to finish them up. The good news is that we decided that the subsequent year’s development will be primarily focused on EMU PRO. We had like 10 new projects over this year, so the PRO development was a bit slow.

You can make custom sensors with the project tree.
Create a new table and add an analog voltage as the axis.
The name of the table will be your sensor value from the table.
