Hi, I have some spare inputs available and would like to use them for secondary temp sensor inputs for oil and coolant to monitor radiator and oil cooler efficiency. Are there any plans to have a custom sensor input similar to the custom output setting? What would the best way to do this be currently? Thanks.
Edit; I know I can create a table in the project tree, however this does not show up on the assigned inputs list. Can I assign a custom switch to this input and name it as the sensor set to 1M pulldown and wire the sensor with an external pullup to suit? If that makes sense?
You can go to Project tree and add new table. Variable in X axis will be analog voltage input you want. Output from the table will be your calibrated temperature. The table can have name you want, and you can use it in other parts of the EMU PRO Software, logger etc…
Or you can simply use some unused temperature, for example gearbox temp and use it for your needs, just to make note that its not gearbox temp but other temp you want…
Yes, you can use external pull-up, if you dont have spare analog input with built-in pull-up value. 1M pulldown is just huge value to not let some input float at unknown voltage and will not affect you.
