Sequential Ignition Problem (BMW S50B32) - Runs in wasted spark

I have recently installed an EMU Black running the V3 firmware on an S50B32 and am having some issues.

The car starts and runs while in wasted spark mode, however, I can not get it to start or run when set to sequential.

I have confirmed the wiring is all correct to the Primary Trigger, Cam1 and Cam2 sensors and I am able to see the sensors in the scope. In the scope I don’t ever get the sync dot on the Cam 1, only on the primary.

With only the primary trigger enabled I am able to get the car to start and run in wasted spark, however, as soon as I enable the secondary trigger the car no longer runs. I have tried n+1, n-1, single tooth etc and none seem to have an effect on sync or getting the car to run when set to sequential

I was using a DTAfast ECU prior to this and with all of the same sensors the car started and ran in sequential mode with no issues, so I am trying to understand where the issue may lie in the EMU settings/tune.

Attached is a screenshot of the Primary Trigger, Cam1, Cam2 input settings as well as the Primary Trigger I have set currently.

Any advice or input would be amazing

Go to firing order and tick „Invert phase“ and try again in sequential.

At a minimum your cam settings are wrong.

You have not specified a tooth pattern for your secondary trigger. You should post you tune file.

And also make a scope with trigger edge both selected in secoundary…then the correct pattern can be determined by someone here.

Best is if u upload it on google drive and share link.

I struggled also a little bit after update to the latest V3.

I changed “invert phase”

(I dont have Vanos and selfmade second trigger on outlet camshaft)

S50 B32 Euro

ok so problem solved, turns out with s50 bmw motors you need to make your exhaust cam the second trigger and inlet cam needs to be set to cam 2.

thanks you all for your help with this.
