Also in the help for Cranking there is field described as inject twice, but no such field exists in the config table.
I noticed “F. IAT Correction” does not change to “YES” when correction is being applied (-2% in this case):
Should “I. Custom Correction (x)” show “YES” if “Always active” is selected? or only when an actual value change is taking place (other than zero)?
hi do you have any feedback on the CAN for the abs esp8 ?
F.IAT correction flag doesnt work in 3.032 and it is already fixed.
Custom correction (and others) are set to 1 only when there is correction applied (so the condition must be met and also the correction must be different than 0%)
Currently there is no such table that could represent those 3 tables in one (on Y axis there should be text enumeration not a number).
According Inject twice per cycle in cranking , this option was removed.
It shouldn’t be in help.
I seem to have a repeatable, single idle ‘dip’, always around the same point after initial startup. It seems to be 3 minutes into the engine going into running state and seems to happen every time. I’m running 3.032.
Today, cold start, 181s engine runtime…
A day earlier, cold start, 178s engine runtime…
The engine starts and maintains idle target correctly every time, but for whatever reason, I get a random single throttle closure where the engine nearly stalls, then recovers and continues to idle normally.
I have checked the error channels I am aware of, unless I am missing something? I have attached a short log from today (first screenshot).
Engine start @ ~4min30sec
RPM dip @ ~7m30sec

It doesnt look like a idle problem. The DBW target is stable, but suddenly the throttle position drops down, and DBW controller increased DC to maintain the target.
I could not find any other correlation, only the fact it happens around 180s every time. I have so far found 5 seperate, cold start logs from the past two weeks, where the same happens, just once each time.
However, it only occours if the car is left on idle to warm up, and is not driven. If I begin to drive the car sooner, you never see that happen, as you are elsewhere in the RPM range.
All signals appear stable, like you say. Is there anything else I can check, which could cause this?
nothing comes up my mind. I will try to replicate it on the tes bench. your project would help
Sure, attached

Today this happened again at around 180s engine runtime during warmup. I had adjusted the “Active State Airflow” table to better match the warmup, so the PID is only trimming a small amount from the airflow at all times.
I have looked through most channels and cannot find any correlation

After this I drove for approximately 1hr. When pulled over, I sat with the engine idle for a short while. The idle was stable.
Then, at andom, I get multiple “blips” of the RPM, without touching anything. There is no voltage/alternator change, no increase in accessory load (PWM1 is my radiator fan controller), no correction or enrichment change.
01h01m00s In Attached Log
What I do notice is, the TPS seems to exactly double in value when each “blip” happens… 1.80% to 3.60%, 1.60% to 3.20%, etc
Again I can’t find any other channels that correlate with this occouring… idle is completely stable otherwise, with minimal ignition and airflow PID correction when the random RPM increases happen. This has happened on the past few logs.
Maybe the two things are not related, I think my idle setup is pretty close, unless you can see otherwise?
Thank you for your update.
As I wrote above there is no clear reason of that and I need to replicate it on the bench.
Now I’m working on finishing next build that will be released tomorrow.
Then I will work on your issue.
It’s not a critical issue - if I find anything further I’ll report back
It’s not about changing to other table, it’s about presenting those 3 tables in a different way.
If these values would be displayed as attached (sorry for poor graphics skills), it would take less space on the desktop and be easier to read IMHO.
I uderstood you. But we dont have such type of table in windows client.
hi Jadzwin
any feedback on the esp8 ? CAN setting for abs ?
we are looking for car with such abs system.
we have desigend tools that should make finding the communucation issue quite easy when we have a car for tests.
so this particular abs system is only found from 2005 to 2010 in polo gti 9n3 and seat ibza cupra 6L
let me know maybe a remote session from my side to try solve it . if its possible
the speciql hardware is required
Hello. I’m currently switching over my V2 maps over to V3 and I noticed that some of the tables in V3 have less X or Y axis values. Such as DBW characteristics. In V2 there are 16 vales for the X axis while V3 has 10. Is this by choice because you found that we don’t really need 16 values? I’m just curious because I want to know if I should go ahead and redo the tables that are like this. Thank you.
