Left one is not working but right one is.
What i am doing wrong. I am using hall sensor.
How do you evaluate whether it is working or not?
I used a scope and checked the operation of the hall sensor with a voltmeter. According to the meter, the hall is working on both but only one gives a signal on the scope.
I solved this by changing the shape of the camshaft.
The height and width of the tooth are important.
If the tooth is too short or not wide enough, the magnetic field won’t change enough to trigger the sensor level change when the wheel is spinning fast.
Having the single tooth close or far from the sensor also changes how the magnetic fields behave.
