Using both CAN Switchboard and Keypad on EMU Black?

Just trying to understand limitations before I go too far on planning next stage of development on my Lotus Elise (1ZZ turbo).
As I’m using the PnP version of the Black, not all ECU I/O is available to exploit, so I’m looking to add a few inputs and outputs via CAN.

Q1: Can the Black support both a CAN Keyboard and a CAN Switchboard module or is it 1 module only?
Q2: For any programming (outside of direct Black support) I also need CAN to USB and LITECLIENT?

Ideally I would like to use the 15 position keyboard for modes and basic function inputs to the ECU, along with a CAN Switchboard providing some additional analog (sensor) inputs along with some outputs for pumps and fans.

If I can only run 1 CAN device, I’ll use the CAN Switchboard and build something as a more traditional keyboard.

Thanks in advance.

Its CAN, you can run both devices. You will need to set the speed of both devices to your network speed. Then you should be good to go.

Thanks, specifically I wondering on potential clashes of the CAN inputs to the ECU, where both modules may send messages related to the same CAN input.

CAN is address based. You control the address. There is no “input” per say
