I have a 2001 IS300 2JZ-GE PNP adapter with an EMU Black going into a 1993 Toyota pickup.
The CLT circuit runs from EMU Black pin 5 through the PNP to the original IS300 harness, then to the factory Denso coolant temp sensor. The sensor is grounded through the original IS300 sensor ground.
CLT stays fixed at 80°C, which appears to be the failover/default value. I initially suspected a broken wire in the factory harness, so I ran a new dedicated wire from the sensor directly to the correct PNP pin, but there was no change. I’ve verified continuity and grounds.
With the CLT sensor disconnected, I am measuring 0 V at EMU Black pin 5 itself. I also get 0 V through the PNP/harness.
Should I expect to see a pull-up voltage (approximately 5 V) directly from the EMU Black CLT input with the sensor disconnected? Is the CLT input supposed to provide this internally, or is there something that needs to be enabled/configured in the software? I don’t see any option to configure or enable the CLT input/pull-up in EMU Black V2.
NOTE: CEL code from beginning since first fire was CLT issue so its never worked. If I check voltage on with meter on them, it does occasionally jump up or down but counts back down to 80 so seems the software is sensing something, just no baseline voltage to calculate, therefore enrichments are failing.
