Bosch ABS sensor

Hi there! Been trying to work out how to use bosch abs M5 sensors to use directly as speed sensors, I belive the pinout should be just digital signal/digital gnd but i cant get any reading at all.

Tried using a m18 sensor and it gets frequency, and it wont change with polarity it seems.
Its configured as VR sensor (tried Hall aswell) and no pullup (tried 1k pulldown just incase)

they are MR sensors nor VR, you need 12V and a signal with a pulldown.

Like Greg said, they are called MR or 2-wire Hall sensors.

Check out the manual for the WheelSpeedToCAN module.
Everything about those sensors is described in there.

Hi all

I am curently trying to connect MR ABS sensors on Pro-8

Is this scheme correct ?

In the software there is only VR and Hall …. I suppose that I have to select VR , and to set threshold to a value between 1.5 and 3.1 Volt ?

Do I have to set a Pulldown 1K ?

Hi,

The diagram is correct.
Remember that MR sensors have polarity and will only work if connected the right way.

You can select Hall in the settings.
It will set the voltage threshold to 2.5 V.
Pull resistor has to be set to none.
