I have the ECUMaster setup document for the DSG, but something I don’t ever see mentioned is how to specifically connect to VCDS for “Basic settings procedure””
Is this a case where you would click all the emulation boxes and build a breakout harness to the CAN, PWR, GND connections in the harness to connect to VCDS for diagnostics and settings while the car is running? This is for installation in a non-VAG vehicle.
I did wire in an obd2 port in the CAN bus that goes from ECU to DQ500 and conected the ingnition and gnd to it and I was able to connect VCDS and read gearbox data.
But I am facing some issues for now with basic settings, getting some errors on some of the steps, still looking into it.
So I had 2 errors in the DQ500 when I have read it with VCDS. One was related to some CAN communications and one for some frequency channel.
This was preventin the basic settings calibration since it ewas throwing error message Cancelled due to safety reasons and sub code 94.
I did what @ANDREI suggested in my other post DQ500 from a 2016 Audi Q3 2.0 TSI is supported by Ecumaster Black? - #25 by solo (installed the input speed sensor that was missing from factory on my gearbox) and both the errors disapeared and the DSG is not reporting an Error in the EMU can stream anymore and the basic settings run from first shot.
Thanks for the follow up. I just swapped my mechatronics this week and included the speed sensor as I had seen that mentioned elsewhere. Currently have no codes in VCDS but not in the vehicle yet, so can’t try adaptations.
