I have a 2002 on Jenvey ITB’s and my speedo recently stopped working. On taking a look there is a splitter box between the speedo cable and the odometer.
I am guessing it is sending data back to the ECU for mapping purposes? I need to order another speedo cable. Do I need to keep the splitter?
Can anyone confirm the function that it is performing?
Also can anyone recommend a good mapper in Surrey, South London or Sussex?
Any information on this “splitter” you are talking about? If it is a factory part we all won’t be familiar with it unless we have 2002 BMWs of our own.
Does it have a brand on it? Part number?
Generally a speed input won’t be used to tune a VE table or ignition table. It can serve as a function for other things within a tune but maybe with some pictures of it and a little more information we can try and help.
