I don’t see my Bluetooth module in my iPhone settings, so in the application I don’t see a device.
From what I’ve been reading or what I understand is that the older BT and EDL devices used Bluetooth SPP protocol vs the newer devices that use Bluetooth BLE protocol. iOS doesn’t allow SPP allegedly for security reasons. I had the same issue using an older BT CAN device with iOS. I upgraded to the EDL1 because I wanted full time logging capabilities, but it does support the BLE protocol and I can connect to it with my iPhone.
So why some people with iOS work and not mine and my friend With emublack edl1

I think @Wraith.IS01 has most likely identified the cause correctly.
Older BT CAN, EDL-1, and BT Module devices only support the Bluetooth SPP protocol. Unfortunately, iOS does not support SPP, and this is an iOS limitation that we cannot change.

Could you please try connecting the device to an Android phone, if possible? If it connects successfully, we’ll know it’s an older SPP-only revision.
It work with a old Samsung with the old app and same with my friend with edl1 , we not try the edash with a sansung, we would like to have EDash in personal phone iOS !
The new bt to can or edl1 look the same of mine ? How can sure i dont buy new one for nothing ?
Just to confirm publicly, as we’ve already discussed via DM:
BT CAN, EDL-1, and BT Module devices manufactured in 2026 are guaranteed to support both Bluetooth SPP and BLE. This means they work with both Android (SPP + BLE) and iOS (BLE).
Older devices may also support both protocols, but this is not guaranteed.
If you are unsure, the best way to verify it is to test the device with an Android 11+ phone or tablet. On the Available Devices screen, you can try connecting using both BLE and SPP. If your device appears and connects via BLE, it supports iOS as well.
