The app displays data directly from the ECU (EMU Pro, EMU Black, or EMU Classic).
I can also confirm that the vehicle speed will be taken from the ECU, not from the GPS of the device running the app.

sounds nice. if you need a additional Beta tester for this constellation, feel free to contact me.
Would there be any differences between the serial (EDL or serial bluetooth) and the CAN Bluetooth versions, performance wise? Like are they all the same Bluetooth standard?
Any advice about the technical solutions to use for the best possible communication over bluetooth for dash applications?
Good day.
I am currently running emudash3 with Emu Black V3.062 beta via CAN Bluetooth module on a 9ā android radio in my 1jzgte Altezza.
If possible, Iād like to be testing the edash as I was very excited when first discovered it. Iāve been counting down the Q126 and checking to see updates of the release.
Thank you.
Will eDash be able to acquire data from 4x EGT probes connected via the EGT to CAN module?
I currently using the CAN BUS Bluetooth module (with EMU Pro8), but with the āTunerViewā and āRealDashā applications Iām unable to find these 4 channels.
How do we become beta testers? Or do we just wait for the release now? Iām happy either way. Thanks for a new app! ![]()
I have an emu classic and EDL-1 and use the emudash 3 app on a daily basis. Running on an android head unit, usually split screen with Waze and music playing too ![]()
My question was especially targeted towards function. As I can see the EDash preview picture on the website shows touch buttons, but the EDL-1 documentation clearly states the RS232 communication as well as the bluetooth module in it are only for one way communication.
Problem is I couldnāt find out if the bluetooth module inside the CAN Bluetooth module is allowing bi-directional communication between the Bluetooth Android app and the ECU.
Iāve already purchased an EDL1 for an upcoming build as Android dash BT interface, just need to know if it wasnāt smart and I should better plan using the CAN BT module
At the start of the open beta (April 1st), interactive switch buttons (bi-directional communication) will be available for the following configuration:
EDL-1 (firmware update will be required)
EMU Black with the newest software version (V3)
You are correct ā in the current EDL-1 documentation, RS232 and Bluetooth are described as one-way communication. This is because the bi-directional functionality is a new feature, introduced specifically for use with the eDash application, which has not yet been officially released.
So your EDL-1 purchase was not a mistake
It will support interactive features once updated and used together with EMU Black V3 and eDash.
Will this work with the Pro series ECUās?
Also, will it work with direct CAN to USB adapters such as the Seeedstudio USB-CAN Analyzer or MeatPi WICAN-USB-C3?
I have found lag using the CAN to BT solution with RealDash in the past
Thanks
Open beta on April 1st⦠not foolin me with this one lol
Hi,
Can you add me too? I have a couple of cars to test on and two projects in the process.
