Emu pro 8 - 1.4 TSI Caxa- tuned help

Hello, I’m new to ecumaster and I’m looking for someone who can help me with the initial setup and adjustments. 1.4 tsi caxa

Hi,

I can’t help you directly, but it may be easier for others to answer if you provide a few more details about your setup:

  1. Do you plan to keep the direct injection system?

  2. Where are you located?

  3. Is this a street car or a race car?

  4. Do you already have a wiring loom prepared?

  5. Is the engine installed in its original vehicle, or is it an engine swap?

The more information you provide, the easier it will be for someone to point you in the right direction.

Ou Sorry. here is better info

  1. yes plans to keep direct injection - EMU PRO 8 + GDI
  2. Europe
  3. It’s a racing car
  4. yes, all sensors and communication are connected
  5. The engine is from a VW golf - 1.4 TSI CAXA with a hybrid turbocharger from RTMG and I have the Wathermethanol injection ready. Everything is in a VW UP! with a DSG DQ250 gearbox and haldex

Tuning a direct injection engine requires a lot of preparation work and tools. It is not easy, but we have prepared a step-by-step guide that explains the process:

One of the most difficult steps is injector characterization, described in Chapter 5. We have an injector flow bench and can help you with Step 5.2 free of charge.

To do this, you can send us a new injector together with the electrical measurements recorded using the OEM ECU, as described in Chapter 5.1.

It will take about one week to measure the injector flow. After that, we will send you the injector characteristics so you can use them in your calibration.

If you are interested, please email me at michal.kowalski@ecumaster.com so we can arrange the details. It is still a long process, but it will bring you one step closer to running the engine successfully.

I have injectors from 2.0 tfsi. Can you also measure the injection pump? or just the injectors?

Only injectors. If you have 2.0 tfsi injectors, electrical characteristics should be measured on the original engine.

Unfortunately I don’t have the original engine. I bought it new.

Please provide the injector part number.

We have some 2.0 TFSI injectors calibrated.

0 261 500 076, 0 261 500 059, 0 261 500 621

these, however these codes should be replaced.

Unfortunately, we don’t have calibration for those.

To make the calibration, we need voltage and current data measured in an OEM vehicle. There is no way around it, so you have a couple of solutions:

  • lend a stock car with those injectors and make measurements,
  • use the injectors we have the calibration for (you can check what is available in the software),
  • use calibration of similar injectors (very risky, might be very hard to tune or even completely destroy the injectors).

The injectors I have are commonly used on 1.4 tsi EA111 plug and play. Perhaps their control should be the same
