Getting vehicle speed input to EMU Black

Hi guys,

How can I get the vehicle speed input in to the EMU? Can I do this via a ABS sensor ? Any other solutions?

My current setup: Aftermarket GPS speed sensor kit directly plugged in to the instrument cluster which is very unstable.

Application: Mitsubishi Lancer 2001 (4G15 Mivec Turbo & transmission from a Colt RalliArt)

Thanks

Edit -
The car does not have a functioning ABS system. I have upgraded brakes from a FTO which came with ABS sensors but not being used for anything. So there is no concern about affecting the brake functionality. I just need to find a way to get the speedometer to work without relying on GPS.

I’m currently using a Dakota Digital GPS receiver that it feeding the VSS channel on the EMU Black. I had it feeding the cluster before getting the EMU so I just repurposed it.

If u have vehicle speed on CAN u can also input it from there.

Can I not keep it simple and plug the ABS sensor to EMU black and calibrate within the EMU ?

Is there a reason for using a “vehicle speed on CAN” instead of plugging it directly ?

If u dont have ABS u can use any wheelspeedsensor and plug it to emu…yes.

Thanks very much for the confirmation

Did this too. Directly from ABS sensor to ecu. Then calibrate speed reading from GPS.
