Going V3 on MK2 Focus RS

Starting this topic as my Personal V3 Journey.

Day 1, wired all the Flexfuel Sensor and stuff to get the car running on V3 aaand im too stupid to start it…)

Can anyone check my trigger settings and tell me if something is wrong with them? The car fires back in the Intake.

V2 for reference:

aaand the Scope data (which i am going to study at home since im closing my garage now)

Actually do i see it right that my trigger angle must be off by like 30 degrees?

I need to check as one of our test car is focus st.
The trigger shoukd be the same but i’m not sure if I have an access to this calibration from home

I think i found the issue, in v2 i had the Output offset set to 2. that means i have to change the firing order from 12453 to 45312 in v3…

I think that explains the firing into the intake… Also checking it i found out i had my injectors phase setup wrong in v2

Yes it is connected to offset 2.

Jadzwin you’re a legend!

I’ll try both settings (just changing the firing order on mine) and the ones you guys are using and will let you know…

Is there any advantage about the Shorter than factor rather then using the N+1?

It is exactly the same. N+1 is shorter than factor 0.5, but we keep it for V2 users.

Sooo finallly it runs with the Settings

After fiddling around with the Timing lamp i ended up with these settings:

After driving around i found that my EGTs were a little highish since my old v2 config had the timing off by 5-10 degrees, theoretically i can just check how many degrees i had off in v2 and add it to the whole v3 table right?

(I noticed v3 has less Timing drift too so i will make sure to setup the knock sensors perfectly before going for Power i guess…)

After that i have a little question on how the boost map needs to be setup, do i understand right that the Duty cycle Feedback is the approximate duty cycle it needs to reach the Boost Target on Set RPM?
