I have fitted the plug and play ECU to my MINI R50 and i’m having a surge at idle and very poor throttle response. I have already cleaned the MAF sensor but I think it’s still faulty. What is the menu in the software to monitor this sensor?
What ECU are u talking about?.. Emu black?
Yes, it’s Emu Black but in the R50 P&P case. I have discovered that the R50 has a MAP sensor (not MAF) and an air flow sensor. I have both out of the car for testing. I was really frustrated yesterday because the car fired up straight away on the new ECU but because of the air sensing, I couldn’t drive it!
The main load sensor of the emu black is a map sensor. It doesn’t support a MAF sensor. U need ro look for map value.

I’m in the process of familiarizing myself with the software (and the car to a certain extent). I have a replacement MAP sensor on order so hopefully that will solve the problem.
