Good Afternoon All,
I’m at my wits end. I seem to have no voltage to my IAT sensor and I cannot get it to register. Using Bosch 0 280 130 039 sensor.
Looking for some trouble shooting steps to see if I can get this to work.
Cheers
Ben

just to add. With pull up enabled it just sits at 25 degrees and doesnt move. With pull up off it starts at negative temp and counts up.
25*C is the default IAT failsafe value, so it’s probably seeing 5V when the pull up is enabled.
This tells me you probably have a wiring issue; one pin to IAT signal and the other is connected to sensor ground? Use a multimeter to confirm continuity between the sensor and ECU connector. Polarity at the sensor doesnt matter, its just a resistor that changes resistance with temperature.
Wired correctly and the pull up enabled, you should see a voltage when plugged in and 5V when sensor is unplugged. For troubleshooting pay more attention to the raw sensor voltage than the Temp value.
another common problem can actually be caused by testing, if a probe has been pushed into the pin at the ecu end it will open it up and it often wont connect to the ecu any more… This can cause a lot of confusion because it will all test ok but still wont work!
