Change log:
TRIGGER: AUDI V8 136 tooth
WBO: WBO error detection during sensor warmup improved
LOG: Log mark (M key by default bug fixed)
UI: Graph logs show min/max value
UI: General option: Load ECU desktops.
SCOPE: Crash when close the gathering data window
LOG: Overrun fuel correction channel - scale on the log can start from negative numbers
OTHER: Bug tracker email address changed to v3@ecumaster.com
Yesterday tested Audi 136 trigger and managed to start the car, but It was impossible to set TDC with timing light. If I change Trigger angle by 1 unit, tdc mark goes aprox 20-30 degrees in angle and If I turn it back by 1 unit, it stays somewhere else. Also when I set Audi trigger, there shows up ‘‘num teeth’’ window.
I cannot replicate this behaviour on the test bench.
For AUDI V8 the number of tooth is 8 (it is set internally). There should be no Num teeth displayed.
Could you post the scope ?
The trigger tooth changes the angle by 45 deg.
According 2nd problem, we cannot replicate this. How did you manage to solve this ?
About num teeth display. I just checked if I’m not connected to car, then this window not appear, If I’m connected - at the first it’s not there when I select this trigger, but when I change tab for example to fuel and then back to trigger, then it appears like in the pic.
For trigger tooth ok I understand, but trigger angle should change it by 1 degree?! scope_2024619_1953_V8 trig.emubscp3 (546 Bytes)
haven’t solved. for the first time when I connect to the car I need to upload last saved map and when I turn off and on ignition, software asks to use client data or get emu data, I have to press client data. If I press get data from emu then previous picture come on, but car is running anyway.
Num teeth bug is already solved
The triger angle changes the ignition angle by 1 deg.
What is your trigger angle ? For V8 engines it must be lower than 90 deg (the angle between cylinders).
The scope looks perfect.
If next time you will have the problem with the connection, please press SHIFT + F9 (the connection log appears). Please copy all text from that and publish here or send it to v3@ecumaster.com. That helps to understand us the issue.
If num teeth doesn’t affect anything to trigger calculation, then it’s good for me.
About trigger Angle - started with 55, then tried to adjust it to match TDC mark on crank, for example if 55 was about 20degree BTDC, then 54 was 10 ATDC and when I go back to 55, there was only 10 BTDC. Can’t remember the steps I took, but tried from 47 to 60 and every number I set - TDC mark was somewhere randomly somewhere else where it shouldn’t be.
Finally I have some conclusion what’s happening.
4 inj of 8 are not working. Coils are wired as wasted spark and assigned like this.
Disabled injector one by one and when I disable 5-8 nothing change to engine work. But when I assign Cylinder 5 and 6 to IGN out 5 and 6 and set as wasted spark, then inj 5 and 6 are working. So I think this is something software releated when using one ign output for 2 cylinders.
Here will be 3 scopes and aprox location of tdc mark on crank.
i just swaped motor wires and it was all good
but then spend good 4 hours start the engine but no success…ecu status cranking, sync status synchronised, i get spark but no fuel in seq mode…in wasted spark im able tu run on 2 cyl…its a nightmare
