Paddleshift and shift cut

Hi all.
can’t really find anything on paddleshift and shift cut, my question is, does pro shift cut when the paddle is activated or does a loadcell also have to be fitted

hi depend what are you using paddle shift work in closed loop if gear stick you will need load cell and work in closed loop also. cut is activated depending of your settings on each stage

Hi, I’m asking again, not sure if I understood your answer correctly, sorry
the car is being built and a sequential gearbox with paddleshift from xap electromagnetic actuators is fitted, therefore my question is a loadcell must be fitted to make shiftcut or can the pro be configured so that it makes a cut when the paddle is activated, the paddle is wired to pro and pro must control xap activator

Load cell (or switches) is needed when using a manual lever so the ECU knows when you want to shift.

Paddle switches serve the same purpose as load cells with the lever.

Where would you even put that load cell with a paddle system?

Depend how xap controll them i wpudl sugges if you desperate to use xap system make it work as slave system workong from pro. But you will lose bit of control.
If xap sending cut and blip request is different story but you will losse very advacned option for paddleshift which is inbuld at ecu.

Yes the xap will work as a slave controlled by pro , I have done this setup with dta and now want to make it whit pro
