Recieving CAN data from IC7 dash

Hi team,

I have a Ecumaster PMU-16 that I would like to recieve CAN data from a Haltech IC7 dash in ‘standalone’ mode.

It is a carburetted vehicle with a CDI/Coil/Distributor so has no ECU.

I have it wired correctly and is on CAN1, I can see CAN data under ‘all frames’ on Light Client, however I am stuck at this point.

I have tried importing the required CAN channels through the PMU client software import function but the PMU sees nothing.

In the Haltech NSP software I have enabled the dash output to 3rd party, ECUMaster is not on the drop down menu, is there a work around for this?

Has anyone done this before?

What is your CAN bus speed on the Haltech Dash?
Also please post a screenshot of your light client window with the CAN Data and PMU project file.

Any Updates on this?

I could be wrong about this as i am no can bus guru, but i believe the third party can option is only to receive data. It was only after a recent upgrade that the ic7 (firmware 2.28.x) was given the ability to “master” a haltech pd16. I think you would need to enable haltech bus and include a pd16 then input the required receive info in the pmu16.
I would try importing the haltech canx file in the pmu software with the ic7 setup to haltech bus with pd16.
