Hello I have purchased a car that has an EMU black. It must be on firmware 2.162 given the message when you open the project file. It currently just has a switch style gear shift knob but we wish to install a load cell. We have available a Geartronics Easyshift box that is able to handle closed loop cut if the ECU can manage the signal to start a cut and then end the cut. I am trying to understand if this would be possible on a V2 version of the software. It looks maybe so on V3 but as only just running the car for the second time we want to avoid to many changes.
Is an upgrade of firmware from 2.162 to 2.175 relatively straight forward and unlikely to cause any issues. It looks like possibly between there those 2 versions maybe some of the settings under Sport were updated?
Download V3 on another machine and load your map. You’ll see what moves over and what has to be re-calibrated. I’m a noob to tuning and I’ve managed to get my project running on v3 with v2 base map, fuel and ignition will move over, Accel/cold start/ boost/DBW etc all have to be redone. but if you have your v2 map open on another machine easy enough to compare. (And you can always go back to v2)
Thanks for that tip. Geartronics has told me that they requested a firware many years ago in V2 that can carry out this function whereby the Easyshift box controls the An input for the duration of the cut. I just havent been able to figure the setup inside EMU to allow that to function as described. Jadzwin_ECUMASTER can you offer any guidnace?
