I’m having a strange DBW issue. At 100% pedal (PPS) and 100% DBW target, the actual TPS occasionally drops to 99.8% for about 0.5 seconds before returning to 100%. I’ve tried to change the voltage for 100% TPS but it doesn’t make a difference.
Has anyone seen this before?
I’ve not experienced it before, but it doesn’t surprise me.
The 100% value you are targeting is probably a mechanical stop. You don’t want de DBW motor to continuously push with all its strength against the end stop, so some strategy is in place to keep the motor controller from winding up when it is close to the 100% target. Still it is within 0.2% which sounds pretty good to me.
The amount of extra airflow you get between 99.8 and 100% is neglectable. See example picture from a research paper below. Between 80 and 100% the airflow increase is nearly 0. You generally also see that in the VE table. It flattens off at higher TPS opening.
This is no issue but completly normal when pushing ur throttle into the endstop. U should probably already order a new part cause useing it like that often kills the gears inside.
Go to max position of 90% and all is good.
I believe that my 100% tps is not the mechanical stop because I could move it op to 4,69v. I’m not concerned with power loss at 99,8% tps but the dyno function didn’t seem to work and I think it’s because of the drops in tps.
