Hello Guys,
I have a problem with my DBW. Analog 1 and 2 is my TPS.
As soon as i hit DBW autotune i get following problem. It’s probably something small but I don’t see it.

Probably the TPS check function returns error.
Try do disable TPS check input (set check signal input to none) and try again.
Ok. I will try that when I’m back on the weekend.
In second picture I get 3.71V TPS check error in the Analog inputs. Couldn’t find out where that is coming from, but hopefully i will be able to try again on Friday. Can’t wait.
For TPS you defined 2 inputs: Main for position and Check for safety.
There is a table that defines the throttle opening % for given voltage of Check sensor. The table is called TPS check tolerance. It allows to define any check voltage characteristic. For calibration DBW you can just disable check input, and then after calibration set up it.
Dear Jadzwin.
Main for position from picture Analog input #1 ?
Yes. Main is ain1, check is ain2.
At the begining just aasign ain1, make the calibration and then play with check position sensor
Thank you. But what wrong
DBW Calibration finished only with:
Hello,
I am facing similar problem with DBW. Car is VW Passat 1.8T
TPS
Main signal - Analog #1, Check signal(signal inv.)- Analog #2
PPS
main signal - B18 TPS, Check signal(signal inv.) - Analog #3
Can you please help.
I think you should care about these first: if you press pedal not at all that is 0% ofc. then press and hold it at full throttle and look at the voltage and put it at 100%.
full throttle:
Info: the ones “Check valid” should be slightly above and below the actual Voltages, so that EMU knows if something goes terribly wrong with your Voltages.
And as far as i understood: you only do Analog Input 1 and not 2. then you run the DBW Calibration and log what Analog 1 and 2 and TPS do and adjust the TPS chekc table accordingly.
Correct me if I’m wrong please so that i have your knowledge on friday as well.
Calibration was done successfully, but this did not work. Throttle opening only 0.3v(Analog#1).
Can you put screenshot of TPS settings or something? and PPS maybe?
Also for V2 dbw worked fine and there was analog#1 & Analog#2 used.
i am not i the car any more. I did all from your screens shared and calibration worked. After i press pedal analog#1 voltage raised for only 0.3V, so throttle plate do not open 100%(only 7%) when pedal is pressed 100%.
Look at the dbw log channels and both pps and tps sensors statuses.
Yes the Analog #2 will be activated as soon as DBW Calibration worked and you filled in the TPS Check tolerance table with the help of the recorded log during Calibration.
Should look something like this. That is Pedal pressed only about half way
I don’t know why DBW target stays at 0% though. Maybe becuase engine is not running?
Here it should be on 22.5 or a bit more:
Your DBW target blend percent is 100%.
It means that DC is taken totally from DBW characteristic table 2.
Maybe there are zeros.
And attach the log file.
Oh. Gotta check that later. Thank you. I’m quite sure that i didn’t set that. Could be set by default this way?
Here is 2 screenshots with not pressed pedal and pressed 100%.
What is wrong?
I have tryed so many options that i do not understand nothing now
Correct please if i am wrong.
TPS,PPS-TPS
in this window i use following settings and data i get from Analog inputs
Tps Main min/max v = Analog#1 min/max v
min=0.76 max=4.69
Tps Check min/max v = Analog#2 min/max v
min=0.31 max=4.24
Tps Voltage
0%=0.76 100%=4.69
TPS,PPS-PPS
Main signal = TPS = PPS voltage
min=0.71 max=3.86
Pps check = Analog#3
min=0.35 max=1.92
PPS Voltage
0%=0.71 100%=3.86
