Trigger settings Honda D16 Engine with ITB's and stock Dizzy (Emu Classic) - Base map?

Hello,

I am having problems with the ignition settings on my Ecumaster Classic and Honda D16 engine. I am using a standard ignition distributor and a standard coil ( in the distributor).

I am using 2 VR sensors, one with 24 teeth and the other with 1 tooth.
The first one is connected to Trigger 1 and the second one to Cam 1. The grounding is on both of them to sensor ground.

I have set the ignition to 0 degrees and checked with a strobe. I can’t get the ignition to 0 degrees even though I tried changing the parameters on the Primary Trigger.

I removed the spark plugs so the engine crank faster and the strobe light would see better

Whenn the 2 Vr (1 tooth) is on the sensor thene the reluctor ring is on the 4 cylinder. If I understand correctly the ring has to rotate another 180 degrees (main shaft 360 degrees) to get to 1 cilinder, thats why i chose 13 tooth as first trigger.

The engine wants to start but backfiring on intake.

I have spoken to my tuner about this problem and he says to put a 60-2 toothet pulley and a new sensor directly on the main shaft.

This is my last option as I am cramped with space in the engine compartment.

So mi question is do anybody have a base map for this Engine or point me in the right direction?

Sorry for my bad English.

install the dizzy 360 degress the other and verify if the cam sync will end up on cyl 1,

Thanks for the help Sherlockwrmz but I didn’t have the will to bother with the original sensor anymore. I probably made a mistake somewhere in the setup with the original sensor, so I assembled a 60-2 Trigger Wheel and VR sensor from a 1.9 TDI PD engine. I still use the original dizzy and the original ignition coil.

I installed the Trigger Whell as per the instructions from Ecumaster. That is to say 9 teeth Trigger Tooth and 60° Trigger Angle.

I checked the setting with a stroboscope and everything works fine.

The engine now starts. Now we need to synchronise the ITBs and sort out a few little things and the car can go to the tuner.

Thx again for your help.

I have issues with honda d series vr sensors, can u share ure setup with 1.9 pd wheel and sensor?
