V3 Boost Creep in Open Loop

So this is the one thing I’m still trying to figure out. In V2 software with the exact same wastegate and turbo at 20% DC the car hits a flat boost level of around 43psi a (30psi g) which is about right. Now when I get the car on V3, and leave Boost PID disabled, and at only base DC (5%) the car suddenly makes more boost and kind of boost creeps at the lowest possible setting to 50-52psi a (36-37psig) and climbing. Whereas in V2 at 5% lowest I was seeing around 27-28psi.

You can see boost target in V3 is set to my lowest setting on the rotary dial which is just 28psi, so my DC reference table goes to the proper lowest setting, and stays there throughout the whole pull. Yet boost is creeping and hitting harder on V3.

Both boost settings on V2 and V3 are the same as far as solenoid HZ goes, so is this some type of internal adjustment that’s happening within the firmware?

Both logs show exactly at 7k RPM to compare. You can see DC higher in V2 yet lower boost level. V3 only 5% DC and way higher boost level. Also OAT and IAT the exact same in both situations, around 99-100F IAT on both logs

What is the boost if you disable the output? Can you upload project file and log to help you?

Verify the throttle opening and igitnion angle what have a big contribution for the boost creep. If you disable boost output you will get the lowest possible boost (no waste gate control).

Your in open loop, even colder weather can make it boost harder. Dial in closed loop.
