Still havenât been able to connect my Samsung A26 to the EDL1 - it doesnât even show up when searching Bluetooth on the Samsung settings, the EMU dash 3 app, the Edash app, or Real Dash
I have an old Samsung tablet (Android 7) that used to connect fine, but now it connects on the EMU dash 3 app and the Real Dash app, but doesnât show any data, not sure if something has changed compatibility with the 1.26 version fw on the device
Ive seen mention of âold EDL1â having less Bluetooth compatibility, is there any specific info on this somewhere, how to tell what EDL1 I have and what the issues are?
Quick question. Can the app use speed sourced from the phone/tablet GPS?
or does one have to have a speed input wired directly to the ecu? My old car has a cable and I just ordered my emu black and datalogger BT device. Looking forward to trying the app in-car!
Please update the app and let us know how it works for you â this release includes a lot of improvements and bug fixes based directly on your feedback.
Added SPP support for Android devices
Devices such as BT to CAN, BT Module, and older EDL-1 units that were previously not detected by the app should now be visible and available for connection. @Joehousie@westerchester.2jz@Frenny@xsd@Oliver - please test
Added new sizes for RPM Bar, Shift Light, Gauge, Text Value, and Rotary Switch widgets @chrisr@noobtuner
Added âShow Borderâ and âTransparent Backgroundâ options for all widget types @JWR.Jeremy
Added alarm support for the Text Value widget @Anarcione
We also improved overall Bluetooth handling and stability in many areas, so even if your issue is not listed directly, please give the new version a try.
Happy testing!
More improvements are already in progress, and as always â all feedback about this version is highly appreciated.
Rotary button goes to 15 didnât find a option to limit it to 9 to use it correctly on the emu black v3 software most tables limited to 9 either extend the ecu software or make a possible to limit it . Maybe add a way to lable single step like setting 2 is 2000 rpm so I can label it to 2000
This is the device for which I was most excited about the app, so Iâm really happy its communicating now.
I really like the Available Devices filter to only display ECU MASTER devices. Great idea.
Also thanks for improving the widgetâs and increasing the number of custom sizes.
Iâve had a few crashes at different moments. Sometimes in response to a button and sometimes random. Iâll pay more attention to what actions might be consistently inducing the crash and update soon.
Is there a way I can capture meaningful crash data for you?
TPS is still scaling to 50% at WOT while client is responding normally.
Request:
Is it easy to make more colour options with a selectable colour palet for boarders and text? This would mean the possibility to match OE interior dash lighting and console switch backlighting for example.
First of all thanks for the update.I really appreciate the effort you guys put in the edash.
One upgrade that stands out for me is the ability to reconnect the app to bluetooth without closing and reopening the app. I did mentioned it and it resolved, thanks.
However, I was only able to install the updated 0.48 version on my Samsung S20 Ultra (Android 13)
The app would not install on my android radio. After trying for hours I got nowhere. I also tried the apk and wasnât successful.

Iâve still got logging issues and not had any reply on here. Upgraded the firmware to V27 and worked for around a minute and now I have a flashing red light and not logging any data onto SD card. App works fine.
After research the problem is old spp BT Module on some new android devices , to solve this change BT Module to ble device. Refresh rate is a way better
Device model : Samsung Galaxy A17 and Oppo
Android version : 16
App version / build number : v 0.0.48
ECU model : EMU Classic v 1.227
Connection type : EDL-1 version 1.27
The application installed on both smartphones recognizes the EDL1 with spp protocol but no data is received. Data is received and saved to the SD card correctly.
In the "EDL-info" file it's written "Bluetooh module error". If I load version 1.26 into EDL1, the "EDL-info" file is it correct but the problem with data reception persists
