New software 3.040 OPEN BETA available

20Hz control is very slow…

Hi,

Adam from htg adjusted harcoded in firmware all outputs are now 100hz and blip by van works !!

So for htg gcu users ! Get latest firmware.

Do anyone have the trigger , cam trigger , injector phase and ACC enrichement for V3 audi s3 8l ( Vw !8T 20v

I see i am not able to upload my project file , not for new users “message” on V2 my kar starts perfectly but i can’t get her started on V3

All the settings , config’s i copied and pasted to v3 so i could have missed something
Project 8L.emub3 (62.0 KB)
29102024.emub (145.7 KB)

Could you please provide scope file from V3 from cranking ? And the log from cranking

20241127_1804.emublog3 (58.8 KB)
scope_20241127_184.emubscp3 (602 Bytes)

Hi , Jadzwin thank you

Your configuration for V2 is not proper. It works in wasted spark. In V3 the engine desnt synchronise because the CAM signal cannot be decoded.
It cannot be decoded because the tooth are evenly spaced.
Please change the trigger edge for CAM 1 and make new scope in V3.

Then we go further

Does the Audi R8 coil have a build in Amplifier or no. Just want to confirm .Because if i set it to no on v2 the car doen’t start

hi,

what about DSG torque reduction settings ??
Manual for this would be great !!

the table we had is gone. we do have it in gearshifts ?

can we use the gearshifts strategie for DSG ?
and can we get the combined load strategie for gearshifts ?
when we use external gearbox controller that would be asome.

we now use can voltage to setup ign correction as torque reduction
when we use cantcu. i would rater use cantcu can message to use it as torque reduction amount.
so can we get canbus axis for torque reduction table in gearshift function ?

and for rev matching can we get function to receive target rpm from canbus ?

thanks !

in maxx i use combined load strategie to send engine torque to the gearbox.
and to determine the amount of ign cut i want.

The coils have built in amplifier

I have no experience with the external GCU so please write me an email to discuss. I need to understand your needs and top create something consistent.

For DGS to get fast shifting you should just use the ignition retard and rev matching. Blip doesn’t work well with DSG as it expect perfectly matched RPM during downshift. So the DSG revmatching was designed just for this task.
However it is possible to use it with CAN based target match (it require some refactoring of code but it should be complicated).

I removed the torque reduction settings as during the tests we didn’t much use for it (now there is simple mechanics retarding ignition proportional to torque reduction request) but this table could be restored.

DSG manual will be ready before end of this year

Hi, the can based target rpm would be for external gearbox controllers.

About dsg here ;
Dsg reduction amount load based table like we had
In v2

Ignition reduction and fuel cut and ignition cut
(maybe dbw but very slow.)

3 separate tables as some setups respond very badly on ignition cut as boost spikes 0,6bar.

And we still missing wastegate duty cycle correction table (in pro as well)

Otherwise i could fill in cut percentage in 1 axis.
Target or map or whatever in other axis and just dc during cut. To compensate boost spikes during shift.

What customer reply is that they have not enough possibilities. The upshifts need tweaking on every car. Some engines respond very bad on ignition cut. Others i cant pull enough ignition as its wastespark. Etc etc

I understand the dsg rpm matching that is fine. Works fine as well.

I dont know if we can use the rev matching at same time with dsg so it cuts when rpm blip is to high. No idea how firmware does it right now.

Ok i would love to see the dsg manual.

Will send you email for external gearbox controllers

Very interested in the best possible integration for CANTCU as well. If may even be best if Kenneth is part of the conversation - as long as he has time of course.

Currently on a Turbolamik & ActiveHybrid 5 8P70 in my 335i, but am considering a CANTCU & HP45 in my E36.

hi,

cantcu works, perfect on v2
but on v3 there is a delay in ignition reduction and the signal from cantcu.
it needs looking into. and better way of integration is offcourse preferable.

Is the information send by CAN ? In V3 CAN implementation is improved so the delay should be lower than in V2
